The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office focused on service the area each day. The services position established for intervention activities a large inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more means to permit the servicing of all customers and maximize usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
